Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy explains how Lauren Dare ("we", "us") collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information. It is written to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles ("APPs").

2. How we use your information
We use personal information for the primary purpose for which it was collected, including to:
- respond to your enquiries and provide the information, products or services you request;
- send you communications you have opted in to receive (e.g. newsletters, book launch updates);
- operate, maintain and improve the site and our ventures;

We will not use your personal information for a secondary purpose unless that purpose is related to the primary purpose and you would reasonably expect us to use it that way, or you have consented.
3. Direct marketing
We will only send marketing communications to you if you have opted in or where permitted under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every commercial electronic message we send will identify the sender and include a clear and functional unsubscribe option. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link or emailing lauren@laurendare.com.au.
4. Disclosure of personal information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- service providers who help us operate the site and our ventures (e.g. hosting, email delivery, analytics, payment processing);
- related entities under common control;
- professional advisers, auditors and insurers;
- government, regulatory or law enforcement bodies where required by law.
Some of our service providers may be located, or store data, outside Australia (including in the United States and the European Union). Where this is the case, we take reasonable steps to ensure those providers handle your information in line with the APPs.
5. Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including encrypted connections, access controls, and secure third-party providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. When we no longer need the information, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
