Lauren Dare writes, builds and designs books, businesses, operating models and learning systems around one central thesis:
As intelligence becomes abundant, human value moves upward.
Lauren's work spans books and blueprints, businesses and operating models, education systems and living labs. Each is part of the same project: building a future where humans do not become less necessary, but more fully alive.
Lauren Dare trained as a lawyer at some of Australia's largest law firms and worked as Legal Counsel to a billionaire. That world taught her how to think: to hold complexity, read people and build arguments that survive contact with reality. It did not teach her how to build, so she left to learn that the hard way.
Over the past decade, Lauren and her husband have built and run businesses across multiple industries. Their first, Dare Recruitment, is now in its eleventh year. What began as a traditional professional services business has become one of the live laboratories for Lauren’s wider work: how an existing human-led business can be rebuilt for the age of AI without losing the judgment, relationships and trust that made it valuable in the first place.
That question now sits underneath everything she does. Lauren’s work is not about using AI to make humans smaller, faster or more compliant. It is about designing systems that move the human upward.
Agentic AI changes what businesses can become, but only if the structure is right. The starting point is not the tool. It is the operating model.
Who decides? What should be automated? What should remain deeply human? Where should judgment sit? What should the machine do, and what must the human become?
Those questions now run through her books, ventures and systems.
Lauren’s approach also begins at home. She is a wife and mother to four spectacular children under eight. Her family is the gravitational mass at the centre of her galaxy.
They are the reason this work is not abstract to her. The way we live, learn, work and build is not a side question. It is the question.
Lauren is interested in a future where families are less fragmented, learning is more alive, work is more human and technology restores possibility rather than narrowing it.
The age of abundant intelligence does not ask us to become less human. It asks us to become more so.
AI is absorbing every cognitive task it can reach. It can generate, synthesise, predict, coordinate and execute at a scale humans cannot match.
The future does not belong to those who merely adapt, prompt better or stay relevant. It belongs to those who deliberately cultivate the capacities technology cannot occupy.
These are the MetaSkills: Self-Knowledge, Vision, Decisiveness, Translation, Origination, Judgment and Attunement.
Presence is the foundation beneath them. Becoming is the horizon they serve.
The point is not to retreat from AI. The point is to build what technology cannot occupy.
That is the organising logic behind everything below.
Intelligence is now abundant. Research, drafting, analysis — the core of most knowledge work — can be done faster, cheaper, at scale, around the clock. The question is no longer how good you are at thinking. It is what sits above the thinking.
Judgment. Decision. Direction. Responsibility. Where trade-offs are made and ambiguity is resolved. Where consequences are owned.
Execution, repetition, synthesis, coordination, memory, pattern recognition. Always on. Operated, not consulted.
Remove the human from execution.
Do not remove the human from meaning.
As individuals, knowledge workers, business owners and parents, we are standing at the most generous threshold the modern world has offered: an expedited route back to our best selves.
If intelligence is no longer scarce, then attention, presence, judgment, originality and becoming matter more, not less.
To accept this offer, we cannot retreat from AI. We must move through it deliberately, placing technology beneath the human rather than above them.
That is how we become irreducibly human.
That is how we become exponential.
One centre of gravity. Many expressions of the same thesis.
Lauren's work is not a portfolio of disconnected projects. It is a living galaxy of books, blueprints, businesses, learning models and physical-world ventures, each orbiting the same centre: human becoming in the age of abundant intelligence.

At the centre is becoming: the restoration of human presence, agency, capability and possibility. Each star is a different expression of the same work: helping humans move upward as intelligence becomes abundant.
Two books anchor the worldview. They sit upstream of every venture below. Read in order.
